After moving from Southern Cal I began my Real Estate career (and lifestyle) almost 30 years ago when living on the Monterey Peninsula and emerging from two successful restaurant ventures. It was time to focus this energy and a new vision into the dreams of home ownership.
Starting out, I was locating well priced land at the time and realized that the cost to build a home plus the price of land was lower than homes where selling for in Carmel and Monterey. This made a lot of sense. I gained much knowledge and experience back then and was building custom homes on the peninsula for years with great prices and values.
My early building focus then turned to a mortgage career much of which was learned during home construction and how loans worked from start to finish. I made a move to the San Jose area where the market and population was much larger and centrally located. This is when I founded Sierra Pacific Mortgage Services in early 90s and was located in Los Gatos area of San Jose. SPMS experienced close to 18 years of success, much hard work and an excellent following and reputation.
While keeping ties in the bay area I chose to expand business to Lake Tahoe and located a new branch in Reno in 2006 (while the market was still hot!) Now a Nevada and California broker the biggest reason for the move was to enjoy the lifestyle and beauty of Tahoe and share similar dreams with others.
Now in 2013, I have made an entire circle back to the Central Coast of California to experience home ownership opportunities in Paso Robles and the surrounding areas. From the fabulous Wine Country that has emerged to the beach cities to Lake Nacimiento and even back to Carmel and Monterey where it all started! These opportunities feel like the great times of the past when values where exceptional.
